Privacy Policy — GIF Maker: Video to GIF

The short version: GIF Maker: Video to GIF does all of its work on your device. The video files you select and the GIF files it creates from them never leave your phone — they are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We do not have accounts, and we cannot see your files.

Overview

GIF Maker: Video to GIF (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a utility app published by Umer Labs. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your files. The app processes video clips you select in order to convert a trimmed segment into an animated GIF, and all of this happens locally on your device. We never receive a copy of your content.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location.

Advertising

The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google may collect and process certain information, most notably a device advertising identifier, and may use it to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. This is the only category of data the app causes to be collected, and it is used for advertising only.

You can learn how Google uses this information at Google’s partner policy page, and you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings under Settings › Privacy › Ads. In regions that require it, the app shows a consent dialog before serving personalized ads.

Permissions

The app requests only the minimum permissions it needs:

Internet & network state — required only to load ads. No files are ever sent over the network.
File selection — handled through Android’s system file picker (Storage Access Framework), so the app can read only the specific files you choose. The app does not request broad media permissions such as READ_MEDIA_IMAGES or READ_MEDIA_VIDEO.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Your choices

Reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.
Choose non-personalized ads where your region offers that option.
Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored preferences and history from your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
